By signing up for background screening services with LexisNexis, not only are you taking effective steps to protect your organization and the vulnerable populations it serves, you are also gaining access to those services at rates up to 80% less than what other for profit organizations pay.

National Criminal File Check- $2.00
Social Security Number Verification $2.75
How to Sign up
1. Go to volunteer.lexisnexis.com
2. Click “Sign Up Now” in bottom left corner of the screen.
3. On the subscriber page, enter your business and contact information in the required fields.
Be sure to enter the promotional codes below to get the proper discounts:
o AABC: To receive discounted pricing and a waived set up fee.
o CAMA: Provides access to California and Massachusetts sex offender registries.
o SN174: Provides ability to track accounts and reporting
4. Click “Process My Application” by scrolling down to the bottom of the page.
Please be sure to use your main land line number on the application.
Applications will be processed within 7-10 business days in the order in which they are received. Once complete, you will be contacted by phone and/or email with your new/account number and password.
5. Certain documents and information will be required to verify your organization’s eligibility to access the service, please make sure to fax the following document:
• 501(c)(3) certificate (issued by the IRS or State Revenue Dept) Please fax the required documents to 678-893-9583
How to order a background report
(Applications will be processed within 7-10 business days in the order in which they are received. Once complete, you will be contacted by phone and/or email with your new/account number and password)
1. Sign-in to volunteer.lexisnexis.com using your account information.
2. Click “Background Screens,” then “Begin Search.” You should see a map of the United States.
3. Click the state you want to search.
4. State-recommended packages will already be selected for you. Simply indicate any optional add-on searches you want to purchase, and click “Continue Search.”
5. On the candidate entry form, enter as much of the requested information as possible.
6. Click “Submit Search” when done.
How to view completed reports
1. Sign-in to volunteer.lexisnexis.com using your account information.
2. Click the main “Background Screens” tab, then “View Reports.”
